The hotel is located in the Old Town of Edinburgh, only a 10 minute
walk to the new part and if you are showing off your new pair of heels
all major sites are just a short taxi ride away too. The hotel has 47
bedrooms in a truly unique Hotel du Vin style. The rooms are wonderfully
comfortable and beautifully decorated. My bathroom felt like a little
piece of heaven. All those who like to enjoy a long warm bath after a
hard day of meetings, appointments or site seeing will know what I mean!
If you don’t fancy going out for dinner, I can only recommend the
Bistro du Vin, a classic and elegant bistro, offering delicious and
rapid French food. We are talking : French Onion Soup, Steak Tartare,
duck confit with Lentils du Puy. I was really excited about my trip do Edingburgh which is without doubt
one of the most beautiful cities within Scotland and the United Kingdom.
Even more was I pleased to discover that the Hotel Du Vin fully
embraces the beauty and atmosphere of Edingburgh… be it for business or
leisure, staying at this little gem is a wonderful way to immerse
yourself in the history and vibe of this unique town.
